For Muslim singles, families and matchmakers

Marriage,
with intention.

No swiping. No ratings. No games. Filters that work both ways, your family in the loop, and matchmakers you can actually trust.

The difference

Why this isn't another app.

Most apps are built to keep you swiping. nikkah.io is built for marriage.

  • Typical apps: Endless swiping

nikkah.io: A limited number of likes each day, so each one means something

  • Typical apps: Photos everywhere

nikkah.io: Photos hidden by default and shown only by consent

  • Typical apps: Algorithm decides who you see

nikkah.io: Honest filters, no hidden ranking

  • Typical apps: One-sided interest

nikkah.io: Mutual matching: both sides fit each other's criteria

  • Typical apps: Family left out

nikkah.io: Your wali can be part of it

  • Typical apps: Paywalls and premium tiers

nikkah.io: Free, and the core will always be free. Only matchmaker pools may charge, set by each matchmaker

Mutual matching

You only see people who could also want you.

If you're looking for ages 25–30, you only see people whose own preferences include you. No wasted likes, no silent rejections.

  • Search on what matters

Search by location, age, education, profession, sect, languages and hobbies.

  • Radius search

Look within your city, or widen the circle to your region.

Privacy

Modesty by design.

Nothing about you is shown without your say.

  • Photos hidden by default

Your photos stay hidden across the platform and are revealed only on mutual interest.

  • You control every field

Choose what shows: your name, photos, location, education and occupation.

  • Photos by consent

A photo is shown only when both of you agree.

Family

Your family, in the loop.

Involve your parents and wali as much, or as little, as you choose.

Your wali, your way

Your wali joins with a link. No account or app download needed.

How involved should your wali be?

With Observer, you talk freely and your wali can read along.

A live biodata you control

Generate a private link to your profile and send it to your parents, like a biodata, but always up to date.

  • Choose what the link shows. Hide photos or any field from the biodata without touching your profile.

  • Turn it off anytime. One tap and the link stops working. Make a fresh one whenever you like.

  • See who opened it, and from where. Know when your biodata was viewed and roughly where, so nothing travels further than you meant.

For matchmakers

The matchmakers your community trusts.

The people who have always made introductions can run their own pools here.

  • Join pools run by masjids, community groups or professional matchmakers.

  • Free and paid pools, with clear pricing set by the matchmaker.

  • Each pool sets its own admission rules: age, background, verification.

  • Matches credit the matchmaker who made them.

  • Be in several pools at once.

Pool sign-ups open when nikkah.io launches.

Trust

Real people, verified.

Signals from real life, not just a profile.

  • Verified Masjid Member

A badge for people their masjid confirms attend in person.

  • What you actually do

Optionally show what you're part of, like “Hiking Club · 12 events this year”, pulled from events.masjids.io only if you allow it.

Your community, working for you

The right person might already be in your circle.

Some of the best matches are a friend-of-a-friend, someone from the halaqa down the road, or a familiar face from the masjid. nikkah.io quietly surfaces people connected to your community, so you're not searching among strangers.

  • Friends of friends

People your circle already knows and trusts.

  • Your masjid community

People who pray, volunteer and show up where you do.

  • Shared spaces

People from the same clubs and gatherings you've been part of.

  • Completely opt-in. Off until you turn it on.

  • Prefer privacy? Hide your profile from people you already know.

  • Mutual connections are shown only when both people allow it.

Disability support

Marriage is for everyone.

nikkah.io is being built so people with disabilities can look for a spouse with the same dignity, privacy and control as anyone else.

Decide whether, when and with whom to mention a disability. It's your information, shown only where you choose.

  • Find people who are open

Look for people who are open to marrying someone with a disability, so conversations start from understanding.

  • Built to be accessible

Designed to work with screen readers, larger text and keyboard navigation from the start.

Respect

No ghosting. No guesswork.

Clear endings, real profiles and honest numbers.

  • Conversations close gracefully

Conversations that go quiet for 7 days close gracefully, and both people get notice first.

  • Deen & Dunya prompts

Profiles start with structured Deen & Dunya prompts, not a blank bio.

  • Profile insights

See how many people viewed you and which filters found you. Nobody rates you or gives you a score.

After “yes”

When it's time for the wedding.

Connect with local masjids that host weddings, wedding halls, caterers, decorators, photographers and henna artists, reviewed by real couples.

For the nikkah, the walima, the mehndi, or whatever your family's traditions call for.

  • Masjid venues
  • Wedding halls
  • Caterers
  • Decorators
  • Photographers
  • Henna artists
  • Local, near you

Masjids, halls and small businesses from your own area, not a national directory.

  • Prices upfront

See what things cost before you reach out. No chasing quotes.

  • Organized in one place

Shortlist, book and keep track of everything for the day, together with your family.

Let's talk about price

Finding your spouse shouldn't come with a monthly quota.

Some services charge you a subscription to see three people a month. We think that's backwards. On nikkah.io you search, filter and connect on your own terms. You're never charged per match.

  • The usual way: Pay monthly, get a handful of curated matches

nikkah.io: Search freely. Meet as many people as fit.

  • The usual way: Someone else decides who you see

nikkah.io: You set the filters, and so do they

  • The usual way: Price goes up for the human touch

nikkah.io: Matchmakers set their own price, shown upfront.

Before you begin

Questions, answered.

Who can see my photos?

No one, by default. Your photos stay hidden across nikkah.io and are revealed only on mutual interest. You also choose whether your name, location, education and occupation show.

Can my parents help me search?

Yes, in two separate ways. Your live biodata: send your parents a private link to your profile that's always up to date. You choose what it shows, can turn it off anytime, and can see when it's opened.

Your wali, separately: they can join your conversations with their own link, with no account or app needed. You choose whether they approve each conversation, read along, or get a weekly summary.

Is it for all madhhabs and backgrounds?

Yes. nikkah.io is for Muslims of every madhhab and background. Individual matchmaker pools may set their own admission rules, such as age, background or verification.

Can I pause my profile?

Yes. You can deactivate your profile anytime.

What does it cost?

nikkah.io is free, and the core of it will always be free. The only thing that may cost money is a matchmaker pool, if the matchmaker who runs it charges. Each pool shows its price upfront.
